The City of Cape May is going to revamp the Soldier’s Monument (LOCATED AT COLUMBIA AVE & GURNEY ST) by turning the site into a small memorial park - the project is expected to end this June.

When the city is working in this area, there may be road closures, which will impact parking at all the homes and businesses on Columbia Ave (between Stockton Place and Ocean Street, as well as Gurney St to Kearney Ave).

What to Do if the City is Working in this Area:  Please find a parking spot on Columbia Ave (past Stockton Place) and walk your luggage to the inn.

If There are No Road Closures:  You will be able to pull up and un-load/load your bags in front of the Mason Cottage; remember to put on your hazard lights.

We truly apologize for any inconvenience the City’s construction work may cause and we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while they beautify our city.

Parking at the Mason Cottage:

Like many Cape May B&B's, there is no on-site parking at the Mason Cottage, but there is always street parking available. Your best bet for parking is anywhere along Columbia Avenue (it is one of the few streets in Cape May that is not metered). While it may be more difficult to find a parking spot during holidays and summer months, once you find a parking spot, leave your car there, as Cape May was made for walking. The Mason Cottage is located in the heart of downtown Cape May - one block to the beach and promenade and a block and half from the fine shops on Washington Street Mall.

Note: There is an unloading zone (curb is painted yellow) directly in front of the inn where you can pull your car up to (put on your flashers) and unload your luggage.  You can only leave your car  here (with the flashers on) while you are unloading your car - you will need to move your car after you bring your luggage into the inn.
