Cape May is one of the only New Jersey shore towns that is a year round town.  While June, July & August are undoubtedly the peak tourist months in Cape May, rest assured, there is always something going on in this town, anytime of the year

The month of October is jam packed with Halloween Happenings in Cape May - Historic Haunts Tour, Scarecrow Alley at the Physick Estate, Murder Mystery Dinners, Private Homes Tours and Ghost Trolley Tours, just to name a few.  In addition, the restaurants/bars and shops area still open daily - this is a great time of the year to catch some amazing end-of-season sales.

Christmas time in Cape May is something that you have to experience at least once in your lifetime.  Cape May B&B's, hotels, store fronts, as well as private homes are decorated head-to-toe with holiday lights and decor, all competing for the coveted 1st Place Winner of the Light Up Cape May Competition that takes place each December.

While town does quiet down in January and February, there are still a lot of things to do in Cape May in the winter months.  February is actually quite busy with Valentine's day and Presidents Weekend and most of the restaurants and shops are open during this time.   These are the perfect months to plan a romantic Cape May Getaway - Don't miss our Top 10 List of Most Romantic Things to do in Cape May

April. May & October are great months to visit Cape May if you are a music aficionado.  The Cape May Music Festival kicks  off in May and runs thru June.  Exit Zero's International Jazz Fest happens twice a year in the Spring and Fall.  In addition to these great music events, visitors can always find live music somewhere in Cape May, anytime of the year - In the off season, don't miss Open-Mic Night on Sundays at the Mad Batter, as well as great live bands at most of the wineries, the Boiler Room @ Congress Hall, Nauti Distillary, Cape May Brewery or the Ugly Mug.  In season, there is usually some type of live music happening at many of the local spots, check out the Rusty 'Nail', Taco Cabalitos or the Schooner at the Lobster House, just to name a few.
