Our Covid-19 Safety

& Peace of Mind Protocols

We want our guests to feel as safe and comfortable at the Mason Cottage, as you would in your own home.  We have always and will continue to make the health and well-being of our guests our top priority, - After all, this is our home and our efforts are 24/7.

As of June 1st, 2020, the Mason Cottage has adopted new ways of welcoming and interacting with our guests, in order to comply with CDC, NJ State and federal laws, amidst COVID-19 - we take what is going on in the world today extremely serious, along with its potential impact on us all.

We have always prided ourselves on the level of cleanliness of the Mason Cottage and wanted to share a few of the things we are doing to give you peace of mind and keep you as safe as possible during these times.

Triple Sheeting for Peace of Mind

While triple-sheeting is not a new procedure for us at the Mason Cottage, we feel it is important for our guests to know - there are never any  bedspreads or pillow shams on any of the inn's beds. After a guests departure, all bed linen is taken off and laundered, giving you peace of mind and a restful sleep.

During our time apart, we’ve Been Cleaning and Sanitizing like crazy...

...every surface and touch-point throughout our guest rooms and common areas.   Door knobs, light switches,  railings, remote controls, refrigerator handles, and table tops have always been washed and sanitized, but we are  paying extra attention to these areas including any surfaces a guest might touch like chair tops, window sills and other items and they will be gone over thoroughly prior to all guests arrival.

We've Temporarily Suspended Daily Guest Room Housekeeping

We have temporarily suspended daily guest room housekeeping.  We feel that this is an important step to protect the safety of our guests, as well as our  staff.

For guests staying 3 or more nights, housekeeping will be provided every 3rd day (with guest's consent).

We are happy to deliver extra towels, bath amenities etc. to your room, upon request - we can be reached in the office, by phone or by our new 'Guest Chat' Option available to all in-house guests (from 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM Daily).

Breakfast and Afternoon Refreshments

As our guests are aware, all food served at the inn is prepared by us personally, providing us with the confidence that it has been prepared in a healthy, hygienic and sanitary manner.  We will continue with our plated breakfast service, however, our 1st and 2nd course will now be served at one time.  Guests can enjoy their breakfast in the dining room (3 tables available) or outside on the veranda (all tables are appropriately distanced).

Afternoon refreshments and /snacks will still be available (now in a pre-packaged manner).

Bikes and Beach Chairs are Still Available for Guests

Our guest bikes and beach chairs will still be available for our guests to enjoy.  Bikes and beach chairs will be sanitized daily as usual. Sanitizing spray/wipes will be provided if you would like to take an extra precaution before using these amenities.

If guests feel more comfortable bringing their own bikes and/or beach chairs, that is not a problem.  We will show you where they can be stored during your stay with us.

Hand Sanitizer Stations...

...are available at the entrance to all common areas for guests’ use

Being Safely Together Again

We are looking forward to welcoming our guests back!
